Conference of Astronomy and Physics Students (CAPS 2017)

Jun 27 2017

London
Tue, 27 Jun – Fri, 30 Jun 2017

The Conference of Astronomy and Physics Students (CAPS) is an Institute of Physics event, held each year in a different location aroundthe UK. CAPS allows students from different sides of the UK and Ireland to come together and get to know each other in a relaxed conference setting. It will consist of social activities, presentations and networking like you've never seen before. CAPS has been running for a few years now, and in the past this conference has been held at the Universities of Manchester, Glasgow and Heriot-Watt, to name but a few. This year CAPS will be held at UCL between the 27th-30th of June 2017.

CAPS will include lectures given by distinguished professors from around the country, showing you the cutting-edge research and topics that they are working on. You'll also get to see the kind of work that your fellow physics colleagues are doing in our student talks, as well as in the poster competition. Explore the physics research going on at UCL through our lab tours, or go on our trip to the National Physical Laboratory here in London. The conference will also be a valuable place to network and make some great new friends and contacts.
