State Scientific and Research Institution “Chornobyl Center for Nuclear Safety, Radioactive Waste and Radioecology” provides expert, engineering, scientific and technical services in the sphere of ensuring nuclear and power facilities safety at all stages of their life cycle. Center carries out researches in the exclusion zone and zone of unconditional (mandatory) resettlement, and also participates in special state monitoring of national and international projects in nuclear safety, radioactive waste and radioecology.

Slavutych is a young city of Kyiv region of Ukraine (founded at 1988), where most immigrants after the Chernobyl disaster live, including the Chernobyl NPP staff. The city has a status of special economic zone. City government pays special attention to the issues of Slavutich development according to a sustainable development model taking into account the need of city economy diversifivation in the conditions of Chernobyl NPP closure.

SSE ChNPP was created on the basis of the Chernobyl NPP according to the Decree 1084/2000 of President of Ukraine dated September 25, 2000 and the Resolution 399 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated April 25, 2001. The new enterprise was registered in June 11, 2001. The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 17.11.2001 the enterprise is appointed as operation organization (operator) of Nuclear Installations of Chernobyl NPP.

High Performance Computing Center determines the main lines, provides leadership and coordination of the collective use of multi-cluster computing platform, network and information technology research, introducing Grid technologies (Grid Computing) in existing LAN of Igor Sikorsky KPI and National Ukrainian Research and Academic Network URAN.
