Fri, 7 Jul 2017, 09:00 – 14:30

This free physics CPD day will improve your knowledge and confidence in teaching physics at KS3 and KS4 as a non-specialist teacher. It includes a range of practical strategies and demos that you can immediately take back to your classroom, and share with your colleagues.

This session focuses on Motion – the need for speed. The topics may include speed, velocity and acceleration, displacement-time graphs, velocity-time graphs, scalars, vectors and momentum. The topics are taught in two fun practical sessions, the day also includes a Maths for Physics lesson. Giving you the knowledge and experience to know when and how the maths, that students need to be successful physicists, is taught.

This session will be delivered by Helen Pollard (IOP TLC), Dr Abby Bell (IOP SPC and i/c physics at SCHA) and Alastair Mitchell (vice principal at SCHA)

A massive 97% of participants gave our previous courses the highest possible feedback.
