On July 2, 2020, representatives of the Cyberpolice Department of the National Police of Ukraine met with specialists of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development.
During the visit, the guests got acquainted with the work of the Information and Analytical Situation Center, which is being developed by the specialists of the WDC within the framework of Ukrainian and international research projects. Head of the Laboratory of Big Data analysis in cyberphysical systems, PhD, prof. Dmytro Lande told about the laboratory's progress in the developing methods, technologies and tools to support decision-making based on the intellectual analysis of social media data and electronic information resources.
The Cyberpolice Department has expressed interest in cooperating in the training of specialists and the implementation of joint projects in the field of information security.
As a result of the meeting, the rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Michael Zgurovsky and the head of the Cyberpolice Department Oleksandr Hrynchak signed a memorandum of cooperation and partnership.
