Ukrainian Peace Council in KPI

The KPI hosted a regular meeting of the Presidium of the Ukrainian Peace Council, dedicated to the issues of strengthening peace in Ukraine.The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman - Director of UPC, Candidate of Political Science V. Novohatsky, Deputy Chairman of UPC, Rector of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine M. Zgurovsky, members of the Presidium: Rector of the Drahomanov National Pedagogical University, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Professor V. Andrushchenko, President of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine V. Kremen, Director of the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery Y. Miroshnikov, Honored Journalist of Ukraine V. Pasak, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine V. Tsybukh, Candidate of Political Science . Kharitonchuk, Director of the Federation of World Peace in Ukraine, collective member of the OPC M. Ilyin.

Before starting work, the rector of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute M. Zgurovsky conducted an excursion to the educational institution, in particular to the memorial of Kyiv Polytechnics who died for the independence of Ukraine.

UPC Presidium was acquainted with the activities of the KPI Situation Center - an online platform for analysis and scenario planning of sustainable development of the regions of Ukraine in the context of quality and safety of human life. The activities of the KPI Situation Center, which aims to increase the completeness and effectiveness of analytical and informational support of management decisions aimed at ensuring sustainable development of individual regions and Ukraine as a whole, in many respects meet the principles of peacekeeping in peacekeeping and harmony.

The meeting discussed issues related to the situation in the east of the country, the activities of the Peace Council in 2021, including participation in a number of conferences on international relations, which are currently a decisive factor in maintaining peace in Ukraine. An important task is to establish and strengthen the positive dynamics in relations with partner countries and international institutions, to maintain international solidarity and economic support in the face of Russian aggression. In this respect, European and Euro-Atlantic integration remains a key foreign policy priority.

The meeting also considered the activities of the organization for 2022.
