On the 5th of September the meeting of the Russian-Ukrainian segment of the World Data Centers (WDC) was held on International conference “The Results of Electronic Geophysical Year” that took place in Pereslav-Zalisk (Russian Federation) from the 3rd till 6th of June 2009. Representatives of five Russian and one Ukrainian WDC took part in the meeting, and also the head and the secretary of Transition Committee in bringing WDC to the World Data System (WDS) were present. |

Late last year Moscow hosted an international meeting on the cooperation of World Data Center (WDC) of Russia and Ukraine and reorganization Systems World Data Center (World Data Center System) in the global system data (World Data System). This meeting was the last link to a definitive recognition by the world scientific community Ukrainian World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development (http://wdc.org.ua), and adopted its decision on the organization on the basis of global data centers of our two East European countries regional cluster global system data - an important step towards creating a unified information space for gathering, processing, exchange and use data for research. |
